Lucknow, February 22 The reported surrender of notorious dacoit Radhe before the Madhya Pradesh police will create impediment in arresting another dreaded dacoit Dr Ambika Prasad alias Thokia, who carries a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head, feel UP Police.

The operation to eliminate Thokia gang was launched by UP police after his gang member killed six jawans of STF in Banda district. But with Radhe’s alleged success in taking the MP Police into “confidence”, the UP police seems to be in a bind. Sources said that earlier both the states police force held a meeting to create enough pressure on the dacoit gang. “But the MP Police did not take their UP counterparts into confidence while accepting Radhe’s offer for his arrest,” a source in the Chitrakoot police said.

During last seven months, UP police have inflicted severe damage to Thokia gang and forced them to take shelter in MP. “They posses more money than Radhe gang. If MP police fail to ensure better co-ordination between the police teams, Thokia will remain in advantage position,” he added.

On being contacted, Additional DG UP Police Brij Lal denied reports about lack of co-ordination between the police forces of the two states.
