Ragging in JNU, four expelled from hostel

Four students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), were caught by the anti-ragging committee on Thursday afternoon ragging freshmen in the college hostel. “All four were expelled from the hostel and all hostels have been declared out-of-bounds for them,” said Ramadhikari Kumar, the rector of JNU. “Some others have been served notices, asking them to explain their conduct. An FIR has been lodged against all of them.” The complainant, Balbir, and the accused are students of Master of Computer Applications in the School of Computers and System Sciences.“The anti-ragging committee conducted a search of the Sabarmati Hostel following a complaint, and the accused were caught ragging freshmen,” said the rector. “An inquiry will be conducted,” said JNU registrar and Dean of Students, VK Jain.
