Rahul, Gaurav shine in twenty20 cricket final

Lucknow All-round efforts by Rahul Saxena (60 runs; 1 for 12) and a four wicket haul by Gaurav Tiwari (4 for 7 in in 1.4 overs) went a long way as Arman Hostel, Lucknow defeated ACA Ghaziabad by 66 runs in the final of the Arman Hostel Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Pt Rahas Bihari Tiwari Stadium here on Friday.

Arman Hostel, Lucknow: 126 for six in 20 overs ( Rahul Saxena 60, Raj Kumar 14, Gaurav Tiwari 12, Navin Agnihotri 13; Rakesh Kumar 2 for 8, Shobhit Tyagi 1 for 19, Praveen Kumar 1 for 23);

Hockey trials

UNDER the joint auspices of the Regional Sports Offices, Lucknow and District Women's Hockey Association, the district level sub-junior girls hockey trials/selections will be organised at 10.00 am on January 3 at KD Singh `Babu' Stadium, Lucknow. Girls born on or after 1.1.1993 may appear for the trials along with the age certificate which should be duly certified by the principals of their respective schools/ colleges. Without the age certificate, no player will be allowed to appear for the trials. Those selected in the district level trials will have to appear in the regional level trials to be held on January 5.
