After visiting Kutch in the day, Rahul arrived at Patan in the evening. He met around 1,000 Dalit youths at the Uma Bhavan Hall and discussed with them various issues like education, employment and participation of youth in politics. Congress leader Shailesh Parmar, who accompanied the young leader during his visit to Patan, said, "He discussed various issues like commercialisation of education, injustice to Dalits and unemployment with the Dalit youth."

While answering a query on the low representation of women in the state Assembly, Rahul reportedly criticised the fewer Assembly sessions called by the state government.

After the meeting with the Dalits, Rahul met other people of the town at Subhash Chowk and discussed various issues of the district. He also met youths at the Congress Membership Booths. He also garlanded the statues of Dr B R Ambedkar and Subhash Chandra Bose.
