Rahuri end Nagar XI reign at the top

Pune, February 29 Rahuri Taluka Cricket Club created history as they ended the six-year reign of Nagar XI to lift the Ahmednagar District Cricket Association-XXII Crompton Cricket Trophy limited overs cricket title, at Ahmednagar recently.

The architect of Rahuri’s maiden victory was the prolific batting of Irshad Parvez who scored 38-runs. Giving Parvez company with an identical individual score was Appa Chavan, who ended up being adjudged the Man-of-the-Series.

Nagar XI batting first scored 132/9 off 20 overs, which was overtaken by Rahuri in the 18th over.

For NagarGautam Diwani (55) top-scored but failed to inspire his team.
