Rajasthan cops have eight more names on list

Lucknow Eight youths from Azamgarh are on the radar of the Rajasthan Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) after their alleged role in the May 13 Jaipur blast. This emerged during the recent interrogation of the Indian Mujahideen member Mohammad Saif.

The ATS has procured the arrest warrants of the youths identified as Habib Falahi and Wasik of Nizamabad, Mohammad Haled and Salman of Sanjarpur, Ariz, Sadab Beigh and Sajid of Raja ka Qila road.

They are yet to trace the address of another youth Saifur. The youths are also wanted by the Ahmedabad Crime Branch and they had obtained warrants for their arrest on November 14.

Earlier, the Jaipur police had identified another Azamgarh youth, Sarvar, and had obtained his arrest warrant too. “The name of the youths emerged during the Saif’s interrogation. Four of them — Salman, Ariz, Sadab and Sajid — carry a reward of Rs 1 lakh on their heads, which has been issued by the Delhi Police Special Cell,” said Kapil Garg, Additional Director General of Rajasthan ATS.

“The Uttar Pradesh ATS officers have already been intimated in this regard and they have sought assistance in tracing out these youths. Separate teams are already on the job to collect information on the whereabouts of the accused,” said Garg.

According to Satyendra Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police of ATS (Investigation), Saif, who was arrested by the Delhi Police during the Batla House encounter on September 19, revealed the involvement of the Azamgarh youths during interrogation with the Rajasthan ATS.
