Ranbir Hooda’s ashes to be immersed at Bhakra, Hathni Kund

Chandigarh The ashes of Ranbir Singh Hooda, the last surviving member of the Constituent Assembly who passed away on Sunday, would be immersed at the Bhakra Dam and Hathni Kund barrage.

His son, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, would immerse the ashes at Bhakra Dam at 10 am tomorrow.

His other son, Inder Singh, and grandson Deepinder Singh Hooda would immerse the second set of ashes in the Yamuna at the Hathni Kund barrage in Yamunanagar at 9.30 am tomorrow.

Ranbir Singh Hooda had played a key role in implementation of many projects of the irrigation and power sectors, including the Bhakhra Dam, which always remained close to his heart.
