Chandgure won the girls under-12 shot put gold with a throw of 8.75 mts, as Heeral Ponda of Thane finished second and Vrushali Hatanadi of Mumbai City was third. Upadhayay claimed the girls under-8 long jump gold with an impressive 2.87 mts, with Asawari Bhosle of Solapur second and Manali Gudulkar of Thane third.
Among the boys, Pranay Shah of Nashik won the under-14 long jump gold, while Bhavya Jain snatched the under-8 gold. Ayush Shetty of Thane bagged the under-12 shot put gold with 10.81 mts., pushing Varun Taneja of Thane to the second spot, while Toushish Sheikh finished third.
Open to all affiliated districts of Maharashtra, the meet has attracted over 1600 athletes.
