“We have approached the local police to increase patrolling in the area and we will also be increasing the number of visits to the hostel during the day,” he said.
Gupta further said that a patrolling vehicle with a six-member team would take rounds of the university from time to time throughout the day to keep a check on outsiders. However, no special security arrangements has been made, he said.
