Research papers presented at RIMT-IMCT

Khanna, February 16 DR BS Bhatia, the Director General of RIMT-IMCT, inaugurated a series on paper presentation by the members of the faculty of the institute, and Regional Institute of Computer Technology.

Under this series, various teachers will present their research papers on various topics. In the first presentation, Prof NK Maheshwari, Head of the Department Of Business Management, presented a paper on ‘Strategy on Revival of Regional Stock Exchanges’. He spoke on the possibility of revival of regional stock exchanges in India.

He added that out of the 22 recognized stock exchanges in India, NSE and BSE account for almost 100 per cent of the total turnover, but the financial condition of the RSEs is weak. He a proposed a model for the revival of RSEs.

From Regional Institute of Computer Technology, the first paper was presented by Ranjeev Kumar Chopra, Assistant Professor, and head of the Department of Computer Science. The topic of the paper was ‘Software Complexity: A parametric approach for OOPS’.

Prof Chopra said that software complexity a benchmark to measure software reliability and salability, and that many metrics are used in the industry to measure the goodness of software. The presentation was followed by extensive queries by the faculty members of the institute. Dr SN Panda, Principal of Regional Institute of Computer Technology, Dr Surinder Singh, Director RIMT-IMCT and other senior members of the faculty were also present on the occasion.
