‘Retirement home’ for senior citizens inaugurated

Panchkula With an aim to provide all possible comforts to senior citizens of the city, the Opera CCPL Group inaugurated their new residential project, “Cassa Gold” in Sector 20, Panchkula, today.

While officials of the group claim that the project, which is a kind of “retirement home”, is meant for people who are economically independent and want a socially active and caring life in an intellectually stimulating and culturally rich environment.

“The facilities include, besides senior citizen friendly architecture, stretcher lifts, 24-hour security, doctor-on-call facility, ambulance service, indoor games facility, central kitchen providing meals, fire detection system, round-the-clock nurses, point-to-point transport to the nearest city, tie-up with a hospital, etc.

The Opera Cassa Gold would have around 800 apartments having one bedroom, living room, kitchenette and bathroom and would be completely furnished with utilities, including LCD TV, air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave, furniture of the living room,” said the spokesperson of the group.

It was added that all that the interested senior citizens would have to pay Rs 14.9 lakh and can stay for lifetime.

Rs 12.4 lakh would be refundable in case they die or want to vacate the apartment, providing senior citizens a luxurious lifetime at Opera Cassa Gold at just Rs 2.50 lakh.

“As for the security of senior citizens, we have well-placed security arrangements in and around the apartments. The entire aim behind the project is to help all senior citizens of the region lead a dignified life even after retirement,” added the spokesperson.

I am 60 and still working based in Bangalore. However I am interested in a suitable home after I finally call it a day where my wife and self can stay without much worrying. Looking for something very decent in and around Kolkata.Need some input for me to look around and takea decision.Regardsarun bhattacharya
