“We have received intelligence inputs a few days ago warning of a Taliban squad entering the state. Accordingly we have stepped up security. Deployment in several important stations has been increased. But the security arrangements cannot be divulged,” said Dilip Mitro, ADG, Railways.
However, Jawed Shamim, joint CP (headquarters) said the Kolkata Police havea not received any such input and alert.
“We have sounded an alert and special attention is being paid to guarding vital installations in the wake of the inputs about possible attacks by Taliban-trained suicide squads,” said a senior official of the Railways.
