Pune, February 25 Momentive Performance Materials has announced that it is collaborating with Engel and Elmet, leading providers of liquid silicone rubber (LSR) mold and machining technology, to present a cross-country roadshow to rubber and plastics producers in the Indian market.

Taking place from February 25-27, 2008 in the automotive hubs Pune, Delhi and Chennai, the series of events will allow manufacturers to discuss the latest advances in LSR technology directly with leading experts in the areas of raw materials (Momentive), molds, coldrunner-blocks, pumps and turnkey systems (Elmet) and LSR injection molding machines and systems (Engel).

“With India now ranked as the world’s second fastest-growing automotive market, the demand for LSR solutions is rapidly intensifying,” said Oliver Franssen from Momentive. “What has been lacking - and what we hope to provide with the February roadshow - is access to expertise across the entire LSR value chain and the latest LSR solutions, from material through to molding and machining. Our goal is to arm manufacturers with the knowledge and resources they need to create higher-performing, breakthrough products.”

“We are very pleased to be able to team with Momentive and Elmet to bring this groundbreaking series of events to India,” said Leo Praher, Global Sales Manager, elast/LIM Machines, Engel.
