Lucknow An impressive 74-run first wicket partnership between Prajjwal Singh (42) and Neelesh Singh (30) and a responsible 69-run contribution by skipper Rohan Bambi went a long way as Seth MR Jaipuria School defeated The Modern School by 69 runs in their quarter-final match of the 11th Avinash Chandra Chaturvedi Memorial Inter College Cricket Tournament at Chowk Stadium here on Friday. While Rohan's 69 resulted off 60 balls which featured ten boundaries, Prajjwal's 42 came off 43 balls which featured five boundaries. In another quarter-final played at KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium, a five wicket haul by Jayendra went in vain as his team--- New Way Senior Secondary School had to face a two-wicket defeat the hands of St. Mary's, RDSO in their quarter-final match of the Avinash Chandra Chaturvedi Memorial Inter College Cricket Tournament, here. Jayendra took the five wickets giving away 13 runs in his six over spell which featured a maiden over as well.
