It will be tough for Hindi film award ceremonies to better the Nokia 15th Annual Star Screen Awards evening of January 14. They all came together — the superstars and the cerebral czars, the filmmakers who made magic with a little gem and those who recreated a Mughal era, the sexy heroines who set the stage on fire and the hunks who made the night dance — and there was that sprinkle of controversy that’s made for cocktail chatter ever since. An emperor, a princess, a modern fashionista and a ‘kinng’ received the top honours, but the evening also celebrated the behind-the-scenes magicians who make our celluloid dreams come alive.
