Roof caves in, three workers injured

Ludhiana, January 11 Three  labourers, working in a hosiery unit situated in a house, got injured when the roof of the unit collapsed this evening.

The incident occurred about 5 pm at Kailash Nagar colony under Basti Jodhewal police station.

According to sources, the building belongs to one Satnam Singh and a hosiery unit was being run from there. Sources said the roof was a katccha one and recent rain has further deteriorated its condition. Sources said that about three workers were present in the house when the incident occured.

After the incident, the owner immediately rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. However, till the filing of the report the names of the injured workers could not be confirmed. No FIR has been registered as yet.
