Visitors were greeted by students in traditional cultural/festive ways of different parts of the country as they entered the hall of exhibition depicting the cultural richness and unity in diversity. The exhibition was inaugurated by G Mehmande, deputy director of education. The main attractions in the science section were the bio-gas plant and sericulture project which emphasised the utilitarian value of science. The environmental science showcased the importance of 3 Rs -- reduce, recycle and reuse.
The project on medicinal plans and use of common fruits and vegetables for treatment of various diseases were on display emphasis the medicinal values of fruits and vegetables. The statue of Shivaji and samples of Shivaji's forts, model of one of the world's seven wonders, Taj Mahal, tools and ornaments of Harappan civilisation were on display in the history wing of the exhibitions, stated a school press release.
