Rovin shocked, Arantxa advances

Mumbai Fancied Rovin D’Souza made a premature exit in a major upset of the day in the Rexello Western India Junior Open Snooker Tournament, at the Islam Gymkhana on Monday.

In an exciting second round tie, Karan Chugh overcame D’Souza 63-54, 39-49, 56-26, 75-36 in a best-of-five frames contest.

In another second round match, title contender Arantxa Sanchis was stretched as she beat Pushpajeet Singh 61-67, 60-37, 45-37, 23-22 at the end of two hours.
