Mumbai The Kasturba Marg police are on the lookout for four unidentified men who allegedly broke into a chemist’s shop at Carter Road and made away with Rs 3 lakh cash.

“Around 9.30 pm on Saturday, four men in their twenties entered the shop on the pretext of buying medicines and pulled out country-made revolvers to threaten the employees in the shop,” said a police official.

According to the complaint filed by the owner the accused then pushed the people present in the shop into a corner and stole the cash.

“After taking cash worth Rs 3,34,668, they also snatched a Nokia mobile worth Rs 19,000 from the owner before fleeing. Immediately after the incident, the owner approached the police station and filed a case of robbery and criminal intimidation against the four unknown men. We are in the process of making sketches of the accused based on the description given by the complainant and other employees. The investigation is on in the case,” said senior police inspector Pralhad Suryavanshi from the Kasturba Marg police station.
