‘Rs 4 crore to be spent on new facilities in Sector 17’

Chandigarh, January 11 Chandigarh Mayor Pardeep Chhabra today said Rs 4 crore would be spent on the overall development of Sector 17. He added that the development of Phase II of Sector 11 would be started soon.

Speaking at a function organised by the Bridge Market Association, Sector 17, here, Chhabra said the estimates for the proposed projects of widening the rotary road would be made soon and put up before the members in the next House meeting of the MC.

Earlier, Mayor attended a cultural programme organised by the PU Student Council to celebrate Lohri on Panjab University campus. Chhabra also announced that appropriate funds would be given to PU from MPLAD scheme for a facelift.
