On the last day of campaigning for the civic polls - the RSP, a constituent of the ruling Left Front government - did not campaign for CPM candidates in parts of Garden Reach where the party had pockets of influence. According to senior party leaders, this incident will affect poll prospects of both the RSP and the CPM in the area and the morale of workers of both parties are at its lowest due to the infighting. An insider said the problem cropped up after the RSP demanded an additional seat in Garden Reach.
