He emphasized that the rural youth should be keen to attend employment-generating vocational courses, organized from time to time by the university. Dr Malhi added that the young farmers and farm women should pick up practical knowledge from experts, and strive to generate self employment.
Dr Malhi highlighted that 40 trainees will be provided practical tips on different aspects of crop production, crop protection, vegetable growing, apiculture, floriculture, mushroom growing etc, as part of these one-month training courses. Dr VK Bhambota, Incharge Kairon Kisan Ghar, Dr TS Dhillon, Technical Course Coordinator, Dr Tejinder Singh Riar, Farm Club-in-Charge, Dr Jaswinder Bhalla, Dr Neelam Mahajan and Rupinder Kaur, the course coordinators were also present on the occasion.
