Ludhiana, February 22 Ryan Institute for Market Driven Education (RIMDE) in collaboration with the WIDE World, developed at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (WIDE World), started an on-line course on multiple intelligence for its educators. Initiated as a pilot programme for more than 100 educators of Ryan International Group of Institutions, the theory of Multiple intelligence was developed by Prof Howard Gardner from the Harvard Graduate school of Education.

According to a press release issued by the school, “This online course comprises of 12 weeks professional development and will involve many teachers from institutions all over the world. They will be working in school-based teams and will join study groups led by WIDE World coaches from around the world. As in other WIDE World courses, participants in the MI course will collaborate with other educators in their school-based teams and will complete course assignments that require to apply what they are learning in their classroom settings and discuss/reflect on the outcomes with their teammates and study group colleagues.”

An awareness of the Multiple Intelligence (MI) theory will stimulate the teachers to find more ways of helping students in their classes and they can allow them to safely explore and learn in many ways.
