Kolkata Two days after a bomb was found at the crowded Howrah station, the samples of the explosives are yet to be sent to the forensic laboratory to detect the nature of the explosives. Dhurjati Prasad Sengupta, Director General of the state forensic laboratory, said: “We have not received any official intimation about the explosives. We have not even received any sample of the explosives.”

“Usually, the samples are sent to us for a report on the nature of the explosives or the investigating officers call us at the spot to show the explosives for our advice. But in this case, nothing of that sort has happened as yet,” added Sengupta.

DGP Bhupinder Singh said: “We have asked for a report from the district and the GRP as they have started an investigation on it.”
