A three-member team of Delhi government’s Education department, which was formed soon after the incident came to light, said the allegations against the teacher were not only true but that the school was also violating several norms.
“We have de-recognised the school as the complaint has been found to be true,” Arvinder Singh Lovely, State Education Minister, said.
We have also found that the institute was flouting several norms, a senior official said. The school was permitted to hold classes till eighth standard, but was imparting education till class 10, she said.
The teachers were unqualified and most of them were college students. It was being run from the basement, again in violation of the rules, she said.
We are making arrangements to accommodate the 300 children in various schools, she said.
The parents of the victim, Rinky Kaushik, a resident of Mayur Vihar Phase III, had alleged that one of her teachers at Dinkar National Model School, had repeatedly hit their daughter with a stick on November 10 when she refused to attend his classes.
