Stalls of eatables and variety of games such as tambola, hoopla, feed me, chocolate wheel, hit me, strike the ball, treasure hunt etc added colour to the occasion. Surprise gifts were also announced after every half an hour. Competitions such as fun race and dances for all age groups kept everyone busy.
Maple Bear Canadian School also celebrated Basant Panchami with enthusiasm. The groups of nursery and pre-nursery were divided into marigold and sunflowers categories for rhyme competition. Dr K P Singh was the chief guest. Veena Aggarwal, the school principal, wished the children good luck on the occasion. Kiddies Paradise also celebrated Basant festival. Children came dressed in yellow robes and participated in kite flying.
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Senior Secondary School, Kitchlu Nagar, held activities such as dances, drawing, singing and kite flying etc. Principal of Dr Ranjit International School, Kuldeep Singh told the students about goddess Saraswati while celebrating the festival.
