For this, they will provide expert guidance on different subjects online. The Geography department of PU, meanwhile, has already formed a website for this.
Surya Kant, chairperson of the department, said: “Experts will not only answer their questions but also give vital inputs regarding the subject. It will definitely benefit the students.”
Some schools have also developed their own websites and given a login id to students so that they can interact with their subject teachers anytime.
Principal of DAV Model School, Sector 15, Rakesh Sachdeva, said: “While school teachers answer the queries of students, we also plan to rope in college and university professors so that students are able to get an expert view on the subject.”
School authorities, meanwhile, also feel that instead of roping in professors at the eleventh hour, their help should be taken from the beginning of the session.
Sanjay Sardana, director, Manav Mangal Smart School, said: “It is good that the professors have volunteered to help students. They should be familiarised with the subjects as soon as the session begins. For Class IX students, we plan to arrange for special lectures on different subjects wherein professors will be called in as resource persons.”
