Panchkula All the SDO-level officers of Haryana would proceed on a mass casual leave from February 25, in protest against alleged disparity in the revised pay scales under the Sixth Pay Commission. The decision was taken by the executive committee of the Haryana Federation of Engineers (HFE) at a meeting here today.

President of HFE, Chief Engineer Chaman Lal said they had decided not to draw their pay as per the revised scales. “None of the federation members has drawn their pay in revised scale for January and nor will they draw pay for February,” he said.

“All engineers will wear black badges to show their resentment and we have also decided to not use personal mobile phones for government work,” said HFE general secretary SS Kadian.

“The government has disturbed the parity decided in 1989. The claims made by government of having given scales better than the one granted by the Central government are false. We have met the CM, several ministers, the chief secretary and all members of the Pay Anomaly Committee, but to no avail,” he added.
