Chandigarh A delegation of supporters of the Gurdwara Santsar Sahib, Sector 38 (West), on Thursday met senior officials of the UT Administration and offered to demolish the illegal construction, provided the Administration withdraws the case against them.

“We are ready to demolish the illegal structure provided the Administration assures us that the case filed by them is withdrawn. The decision has been forwarded to the Administration,” said legal advisor of the management Ramdeep Pratap Singh.

He said a committee comprising councillor Jagjit Singh Kang, Former Mayor Harjinder Kaur, former MP Harmohan Dhawan, Ranjit Singh secretary Gurudwara management and Gurnam Singh Sidhu was formed by the gurdwara management after the incident.

This committee called on the UT Administration officials and offered to resolve the issue amicably.

A clash had taken place during a demolition drive at the Gurudwara on January 31, which left the ADC and three others seriously injured.
