Seminar on electron microscopy held at PAU

Ludhiana A seminar-cum-workshop on Electron Microscopy was organised by the Electron Microscopy and Nanoscience (EMN) Laboratory at PAU on Monday.

Masako Nishimura, application engineer from Hitachi (Japan), interacted with PAU scientists and a team of doctors from Christian Medical College and Hospital and Christian Dental College, Ludhiana.

During the workshop, M L Sharma, technical consultant with Forevision Instruments, demonstrated the processing of biological specimens and the problems encountered during fixation and imaging. 

He has also worked at the Instrumentation Cell of Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The interactive session was chaired by Dr Neeta D Kang, head, Cowan Betty Innovation Centre, CMC, Ludhiana. Dr S S Gosal, Additional Director Research (Agri), PAU co-chaired the session.

T H Tan and Chow Heng from Singapore accompanied Nishimura and also acted as interpreters.

Dr V R Parshad, Director, EMN Lab, and Dr V K Dilwari, Controller Examinations, were also present at the workshop. Scientists from GADVASU also participated in huge numbers.
