The guests of honour were Shobha Dadlani, head of the department, Business Practices, St Mira's college, Veena Anil Chawla, an outstanding woman entrepreneur in the field of automobile air-conditioning and Vikas Pawar, training officer at Mitcon.
Pawar spoke about the importance of entrepreneurial development programmes. Dadlani shared her experience about how she stimulated creativity in an academic environment and promoted entrepreneurial spirit among youth. Chawla narrated the circumstances under which she had to take the reins of family business; her journey as an entrepreneur so far and the qualities required to combat problems in business.
Principal Vijaya Nambiar gave a talk on "Research methodology." Prof Borgaonkar gave important guidelines for writing effective reports and improving communication skills and Prof Gita Shivraman highlighted the importance of "hypothesis" in research.
This was followed by open house which received an overwhelming response. Prof S Nadar and Desu Sidhwa coordinated the event.
