Mumbai Enraged at his former employer’s refusal to settle his longstanding dues of three months, a servant broke into his employer’s house and attacked him and his wife with a sickle. While the employer, Mohammed Usman Abdul Rehman Nagori (40) has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Fauzia Hospital in Nagpada, his wife who escaped with some scratches on her face and neck, is still to recover from the shock.

According to Nagori’s statement to the Nagpada police, the accused Rajsingh Kunwar Bahadur Singh (28) used to work at his sweet shop. However, Nagori had sacked Singh a couple of years ago because he was dissatisfied with his work, said Wahid Nagori, Nagori’s brother.

“For two years, there was no contact between Singh and my brother, however on Saturday night, Singh suddenly barged into my brother’s house. My brother and sister-in-law were having dinner when Singh attacked them with a sickle and then ran away. My brother tried to follow him but his bleeding intensified and he fainted. My sister-in-law sustained some scratches. Both were rushed to the hospital,” said Wahid.
