Sewer facilities for 200 villages in Capital

New Delhi, March 1 The government is gearing up to provide sewer facilities in approximately 200 villages in Delhi, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said on Saturday . She added the DJB would construct 58 underground reservoirs in the Capital by 2009, 28 of which will be in East Delhi. At a ceremony for laying the foundation stone of a 58 lakh-litre capacity underground reservoir and booster pumping station at Narela, Dikshit said her government was committed to providing uninterrupted water supply in rural areas. The DJB has already approved a scheme worth Rs 263 crore for constructing 14 underground reservoirs and booster pumping stations.
