Both the chief guest, his wife, Sarita Misra, SGPGI director Dr. A.K.Mahapatra, faculty members and others present on the occasion , particularly the parents were spell bound to see such immense creative talent on display by their own little ones belonging to the age group of II to IV. Each class stuck to a theme that was developed with finesse. The little ones displayed their inherent talents in every exhibit prepared by tiny delicate fingers .
The themes included, "Happy Birthday" "Activity", "Helpers" , "Transport" and "Indian Railways." A large group put up a musical dance performance at the "birthday" party that came complete with cutting of a cake of which a slice was also enjoyed by the chief guest. However , it was "Indian Railways" that stole the show with artistically made cut-outs and displays that did not miss out on anything at a real railway station, including "chai - garam," coolie etc. One little fellow drssed as a ticket-collector even demanded a ticket from the chief secretary too, much to everyone’s amusement. Misra was full of praise for the school staff who toiled hard to harness the creative energies of the little ones. "It made me so nostalgic taking us back several decades", remarked Sarita Misra.
