Ludhiana A brace each from Reena and Jaspal helped host Shaheed Sukhdev Thapar Government Senior Secondary School, Bharat Nagar, defeat Khalsa College for Women in a one-sided final of the District Women Hockey Championship being organised held at the school premises on Wednesday.

The hosts dominated throughout the match and they broke the deadlock in the eighth minute when Reena collected a pass from Jaspal Kaur and slammed the goal past the Khalsa College custodian. The winning team was again on target when Jaspal scored a stunning goal in the 10th minute. She made it 3-0 in the 19th minute when she foxed the Khalsa College defenders and then sent a smashing shot into the goal post. Earlier, Khalsa College girls had defeated Government College, Ludhiana by a solitary goal through Nadia in the 38th minute.
