Pune This year’s Shaniwarwada dance festival, to be held on February 21 and 22, is dedicated to Late Dr. Rohini Bhate. Her students will perform some of her compositions — including Bhadra on the opening day.

On the second day, dancer Shobana Chandrakumar will perform Maya Ravan with her troupe of about 30 artistes. The final day will see Rahul Sharma on santoor and his wife and bharatnatyam dancer Barkha Sharma perform Ganesh Vandana. Addressing the press conference, Jackie Schroff, member of the festival panel, said, “All these years, I have been attending the festival as an invitee but this is the first time I am on the panel. I will be happy to participate in anything that promotes the cultural significance in the city.
