Faizabad Chief Judicial Magistrate Shailesh Tiwari permitted the police on Friday to conduct the tests at the Central Forensic Laboratory in Bangalore.
In his order, the CJM said the tests on Vijaysen will be conducted in judicial custody and prohibited investigating officer Sharat Chandra Pandey from intervening in any matter during the process of tests. The court also asked him not to accompany Vijaysen to Bangalore.
A K Jain, Inspector General of Lucknow Zone who was served a contempt notice for giving the dates of tests to the media before a court decision, sent his explanation through the Faizabad Circle Officer.
In his letter, Jain said he had revealed certain information to the media because the Press had the right to know it. The CJM warned the IG not to repeat such an act in future.
Mulayam meets Shashi’s family
FAIZABAD: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav met Yogendra Prasad, father of Shashi, in Faizabad on Friday. He visited Shashi’s house in Milkipur tehsil and spoke to her family members. Prasad, a BSP cadre, said it is a great moral support for us that Mulayam Singh Yadav has visited us and tried to share some of our sorrow. “Mayawati and other BSP leaders, for whom I have dedicated my life, should feel ashamed that they didn’t even visit us in the hour of crisis.” Shashi’s family members have been demanding a CBI inquiry in the case from the day one. But nothinh has been done in this regard. Shashi’s family is blaming former BSP minister Anandsen for Shashi’s murder. However, the police has arrested Vijaysen, Anandsen’s driver as the main accused.
