Shekhar’s ton in Karnataka victory

Lucknow, January 31 Shekhar Nayak blasted an unbeaten century as his team Karnataka defeated Uttar Pradesh by nine wickets in their league match of the 7th Dr Shakuntala Misra memorial inter-state cricket for visually impaired at the KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium, here on Thursday. In the other league match held at the same venue, Gujarat defeated Haryana by ten wickets.

In the two league matches of the same tourney played at Dr Ambedkar Stadium, Gomti Nagar, Rajasthan beat Jharkhand by five wickets while Haryana beat Maharashtra by eight wickets.

Uttar Pradesh: 207 for eight in 20 overs ( N Nasir 42, Shabab Hussain 34, Bal Mukund 29);

Bihar: 122 for six in 20 overs (Shahid Raza 41, M Arif 26; Hitesh Patel 3 for 11);
