Ludhiana, March 4 Shri Rameshwaram Ramsetu Raksha Manch today held a protest rally against the government’s affidavit submitted in the Supreme Court regarding Ramsetu.

The scooter and motorcycle rally started from Samiti Kender. After passing from Ghumar Mandi, Aarti Chowk, Malhar Cinema Road, Shastri Nagar, Model Town, Bus Stand and Bharat Nagar, it concluded at the Mini Secretariat.

Addressing the rally, Chandermohan Seth, convener of the Manch, secretary Rupinder and Madan Lal Gupta questioned as to why was Ramsetu not being accepted. They added that when there were six proposals with the government, then why did the government opt for breaking the Ramsetu.

The speakers also questioned whether investigation has been conducted by the government, for declaring Ramsetu as a national heritage. They asserted that the government should accept Lord Ram’s history, and declare the Ramsetu a national heritage. They warned that they would continue their struggle for Ramsetu, till it is declared as a national heritage.

Others present on the occasion included Inder Aggarwal, Deepak Bhalla, Kantendu Sharma, O P Bhardwaj, Sandeep Kapoor, Gurmukh Singh Namdhari etc.
