New Delhi On its silver jubilee, the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has announced special plans to boost its conservation efforts.

An All India Convenors’ Meeting will be held on January 27-28 to discuss the recommendations of the National Convention Vision 2020, on which the organisation has been working.

The non-profit organisation aims to have better coordination among its 140 chapters to work on restoration and conservation. “We have to boost our funds and use local expertise,” INTACH chairman S K Misra said.

INTACH also wants the government to initiate legislation on its projects so that they are implemented. “It is imperative for the government to adopt and legislate, otherwise most of our efforts will go waste,” he said.
