Sunday witnessed 10 brilliantly gifted kids battling it out at the Grand Finale of Hallmark Kids Idol – Dance Your Way Through, where children between the age group of 7-13 got a chance to display their burgeoning talent. The vigorous competition had started with the free audition round in 11 schools and four dance institutes where 1,150 kids auditioned. After a host of grueling preliminary rounds, eliminations and training programmes, to witness the performance of the finest. Vaishnavi Patil was the winner and Abhinav Jha and Aboli Naik were the runner ups.

Bejewelled

It was an evening of designs and designer wears as Krsala, a jewellery store by Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri was opened in the city. The store was inaugurated by actress Vidya Balan, who sported the best of designs from the store. The models shimmered on the ramp with a range of designs while Balan scintillated the audience in a saree with the unique jewellery piece. The evening saw other guests including MP Suresh Kalmadi and Achla Sachdev admire the collection. Diamonds and gems in amazing designs lit the night to glory.

Gold-en moment

Ushering in the festival of lights in a truly sparkling manner, Ranka Jewellers inaugurated its new diamond department. Apart from their various separate exclusive departments for gold, silver, pearls, american diamonds, precious stones and sunglasses, Ranka Jewellers opened Glitterati today. The posh diamond department at Laxmi Road, will have cut and rose cut diamonds as well as Indo-western designs on display. The diamond jewellery is certified by international standards and has a photo of each ornament on the certificate with the grade and quality of the diamond weight. As part of the celebrations, Ranka Jewellers will present an inaugural offer. No deduction in diamond and gold value will be made while exchanging the ornaments and 90 per cent cash will be paid on the value of the diamond ornaments, excluding labour charges.

Divine dining
