Pamper your senses with these therapies and new looks

Love is in the air, and round the corner is Valentine's Day. Yes, it's time to pamper yourself, time to exfoliate, get the circulation going and let your skin glow for the D day. "It's also time to pay attention to a very temperamental weather," points out President of National Dressers and Beauticians, Dr. Blossom Kochhar in town at her Panchkula Sector 2 outlet to introduce her 'chocolate, coffee and rose' treatments for the season. Talking about the benefits of spa, she adds, "In this stressful lifestyle, our body needs detoxification, and with the essence of aroma oils and spices, spa is the best option to revive, rejuvenate and relax the body, mind and soul. The day spa provides treatments for de-stressing, detoxifying, re-mineralizing, body wrap, massages and aromatherapy," informs Dr. Blossom, who attended a conference at Germany in early January and shared the latest trends in hair and make-up. "Side partings are back in fashion. Voluptuous hair is back, so it's all waves and curls," she says adding that streaks are in vogue and in more prominent shades of coffee, chocolate and blonde. For make-up, smokey eyes with blue and emerald green eye-liners are in. "Glitter is out, shimmer is in. So are illuminating under eye creams, matte lipsticks. So it's goodbye to gloss and hello to pinks, plums, peaches and raspberry," Dr Kochhar is all for the "look of 50's and 60's". Meanwhile, she demonstrated the benefits of Exotic French Rose Scrub to exfoliate the body and face, refreshing coffee wraps to lighten the skin and sensuous body packs to nourish the body and face. On being asked about the effect of recession on spa and other beauty treatments, Meenakkshii Virmani, the owner of the salon says, "In times of recession, people get stressed and these treatments are the best option to de-stress!"
