‘Speed up ongoing projects’

Chandigarh, March 7 “Speed up the ongoing works in UT,” Pradeep Mehra, Adviser to UT Administrator told the administrative officers at a Senior-Officers’ Conference held at the UT Secretariat today.

During the meeting, Mehra asked all the department and project heads to expedite ongoing projects in their respective departments so that the projects meet their deadlines.

Mehra added that projects should be completed on time. He asked the officers to adopt a proactive approach and positive attitude towards solving the problems of the city residents and implementation of the ongoing projects. “There is a serious need to have a people-friendly approach in the offices,” Mehra told the officers.

During the meeting, Mehra also reviewed the progress of various projects and schemes, including the plantation of 1 million trees and village development. Mehra even asked the head of departments to monitor regular updating of their department websites including the information provided under RTI.
