St Vincent’s athletes set the pace

Pune, February 5 For the umpteenth time St. Vincent's H.S athletes were off to a flier in the PSAA Inter-School Athletics Championship at the St Vincent's H.S ground, on Tuesday.

On Day One, Craig Perreira (U-18 section), Calvin Crasto (U-16) and Desmond Lopez (U-14) were the star performers setting new meet records in the shot put, 100m and long jump events respectively.

RESULTS

BOYS: U-12, 100m: Umakanta Singh (Moledina, 12.9s), Malik Kumar Chaman (Al-Jadid Urdu; 13.5s), Mayur Samat (Bishop's Camp; 13.9s)

U-14: 100m: Desmond Lopez (St. Vincent's H.S, 11.6s, NMR), Akshay Palvankar (Bishop's Camp; 12.2s), Y. Dhruva (Symbiosis Primary; 12.4s)

U-16: 100m: Calvin Crasto (St. Vincent's H.S, 11.7s), Raju Kumar Singh (Anglo Urdu; 11.9s), Adrian Arokiaswamy (St. Vincent's H.S; 12.0s)

Long Jump: Calvin Crasto (St. Vincent's H.S, 5.92M, NMR), Ninan Kurunthottial (St. Vincent's H.S; 5.60M), Rohit Kulkarni (Loyola; 5.46M)

U-18: 100m: Venkatesh Halli (St. Vincent's, 11.2s), Leon Nair (St. Vincent's HS; 11.5s), Mussadik Chaudhary (Anglo Urdu; 11.7s)

High Jump: Yash Pote (St. Vincent's H.S, 1.60M), Stephen Charles (St. Vincent's HS; 1.55M), Mussadik Chaudhary (Anglo Urdu; 1.55M)

U-18: Shot Put: Craig Pereira (St. Vincent's, 12.60, NMR), Saif Sayed (St. Vincent's H.S; 11.80M), Mohammad Taiyab (Anglo Urdu; 11.79M), Tanay Gupta (Loyola; 11.79M).
