St. Stanislaus dominate

Mumbai, March 2 St. Stanislaus dominated the proceedings in the Barclays Premier League 5-a-side Championship, winning two titles, the players earning themselves the coveted Barclays English Premier League medals and an opportunity to get photographed with the classic Barclays Premier League Trophy at the Cooperage on Saturday. St. Stanislaus defeated Don Bosco Matunga and Cathedral & John Connon for the boys under-14 and under-16 titles respectively. Don Bosco, Matunga were a bit unlucky to finish runner-up in two categories, the boys under-8 and the boys under-14.

Results in brief (all finals): NGOs U 12 yrs (League) Winners; Don Bosco Shelter (6 pts) Runners-up ; Akanksha (3 pts) U 14 yrs Winners; Don Bosco Shelter (6 pts) Runners-up ; Magic Bus 1 (3 pts) Girls, U 12 yrs Bombay Scottish bt St Anne’s (Fort) 2-1 Girls, U 14 yrs St Anne’s bt Bombay International 2-0 via the tie-breaker. Boys U 8 Cathedral and John Connon School bt Don Bosco (Matunga) 3-2 via the tie-breaker. U 10 Campion School bt St Mary’s ICSE 2-1.U 12 Don Bosco (Matunga) bt Campion 4-3 via the tie-breaker. U 14 St. Stanislaus bt Don Bosco (Matunga) 1-0. U 16 St. Stanislaus bt Cathedral and John Connon 1-0.
