Mumbai The Oshiwara police have arrested the domestic servant who robbed a TV starlet named Shraddha Sharma’s house on Tuesday. Shraddha, a resident of Jogeshwari, had gone shopping to Andheri on January 3. After she returned home at 9:00 pm, she found that her house door was open. Upon entering, she found that Rs 1.5 lakh she had kept in her purse was missing and after she went to her bedroom she found that the cellphone she had left on the bed was also missing. Her servant, Aditya Roshan, (21), had abscounded with the money, the Samsung mobile phone and three watches. After finding that Aditya’s phone was switched off, Shraddha contacted the Oshiwara police and registered a case of robbery. The Oshiwara police, acting on a tip off, later arrested Aditya from near Bostan restaurant in Jogeshwari on January 12. The police have recovered Rs 1,44,000, mobile phone and one watch from Aditya’s possession. He has been remanded to police custody till January 15. “Aditya does not have any criminal record as far as we know, but he was not registered with the police by Shraddha,” said Police Inspector D Sankhe of Oshiwara police station. “We got reliable information about Aditya’s meeting his friends in Jogeshwari. We laid a trap and arrested him when he came to Bostan restaurant”, he added.
