‘State of business’ issued ahead of MSU Senate polls

Vadodra With just five days left for M S University (MSU) Syndicate elections, the registrar has sent state of business to all the Senate members on Monday. The state of business is an official declaration of the nomination to all the Senate members who will be casting their votes on February 21.

Prof Aruna Khasgiwala, Faculty of Social Work, Dean and Satinder Kumar, Dean of Education and Psychology and Bhuvan Parekh, Dean Faculty of technology have been nominated for the post of dean of faculties. For the post of principal, Prof K S Agrawal is unchallenged candidate.

There are six vacancies of teachers and employees, six Senate members --- Raisinh Dahima, Rajnikant Darji, former student leader Jigar Inamdar, Mukesh Pandya, Rajesh Pareikh, Suresh Patani, Bipin Patel, Dipakkumar Shah, Mukund Shah, Prakash Shah and Dinesh Yadav.

Besides, there are five post for the teachers who should not be professors and representing different faculties: Sirish Kulkarni, reader from accounts and finance management, Dr Adesh Jain, Assistant Professor-Surgery Gopal Bhatti, Civil Engineering reader I I Pandya from the faculty of technology, Rameshwari Pandya from Faculty of Community Studies and Harishchandra Vyas, Faculty of Performing Arts.

There are five vacancies for PG studies and three for the board of accounts and two for Board of extra mural studies.
