He floated 250 gm steel on water in a demonstartion held in front of ENS team on Thursday. He started off by floating a needle and gradually increased the number of needles till it reached 384. He then placed currency coins in the centre of such needles, which were arranged in a circle.
A tailor by profession, Kailay, however, is no stranger to these unique feats. His name had earlier appeared in Limca Book of World Record for four times for his tailoring skills. But Kailay is not the one to rest on laurerls. “I aim to float 2 kg of steel on water soon,” he told ENS.
Recently he made a unique trouser which could be worn in 22 different styles and colours. It could be worn as a trouser, a half-pant, a nicker, a shirt, and various types jackets etc. The feat found its way into Limca Book of World Records for his taloring skills.
Kailey, a school drop-out, was overtaken by the desire to do something extraordinary from the very start. He kicked off by balancing an egg on pencap, with one and half kg weight, a Limca bottle and another egg on top.
Then he started making unique jackets and trousers. He made a set of 35 jackets which could be worn in 9,800 different colours and styles, a trouser which could be worn in 10 different ways and the world’s smallest night suit.
He has also managed to pass nearly 1,584 threads through the eye of single needle.
