Students’ Council to be consulted for new speed breakers on PU campus

Chandigarh A committee comprising PUTA president Prof Ronki Ram, PU Chief Security Officer Vijay Pal Singh and members from the Students’ Council, on Monday reviewed the recently-constructed speed breakers in the campus.

The committee decided that if speed breakers were to be allowed in the campus, they would be of different shapes as compared to the existing ones. It was also decided that members of the council would be consulted with before the construction of speed breakers.

While speaking to Newsline, President of Students’ Council Sahil Nanda said, “It was after receiving several complaints from students regarding speed breakers that we decided to take up the issue with the authorities. The new speed breakers would be constructed in consultation with the Students’ Council.”
