Students hurt as driver loses control over bus in Nadod

Vadodara Nearly 42 students from D N I Ahir BEd College of Nashik, Maharashtra, who were on their way to Sardar Sarovar Dam visit met with an accident early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred at Khoota Amba village of Nadod taluka, Narmada district, when the driver of the luxury bus lost control.

The driver fled the scene and is still missing, Anand police said.

However, the students were rushed to the Rajpipla Civil Hospital and most of them were discharged by 3 pm on Wednesday.

Inspector T K Patel said, “The incident occurred when the driver lost control near Muvi and Khoota Amba village crossing. Mostly girls were injured. The students were on a visit to Sardar Sarovar Dam and Pavagadh, Panchmahals district from Nashik.”

Meanwhile, Dr T V Vankar said, “Two luxury buses were booked by the students. Most of them sustained minor injuries except one. They were released later in the day. The students and their teachers were sent back to Nashik.”
